This commitment affects nearly 3 million domain names hosted by HostGator, and ensures over 2% of the internet, hosted by HostGator, is green.
HostGator, a leading provider of shared, reseller, and dedicated web hosting, announced on Monday that it had renewed its commitment to providing its customers with sustainable and environmentally friendly web hosting services.
Last week, the company renewed its agreement with 3Degrees, one of the nation’s leading renewable energy sales, trading and advisory firms, to purchase Renewal Energy Certificates (RECs) for 130% of the electricity used to power and cool HostGator’s more than (more…)
