Cambridge SoundWorks®, a member of the Creative Technology Ltd family of digital entertainment brands, today announced a breakthrough for its award-winning SoundWorks Radio line with the new SoundWorks i525 AM/FM table radio with iPod dock. Engineered to deliver the same award-winning sound quality of the Cambridge SoundWorks i700-series of table radios, the compact SoundWorks i525 is the first SoundWorks system to feature Creative X-Fi® and Smart Volume™ audio technologies. The ideal gift for any Dad or Grad, the SoundWorks i525 produces superior sound quality to larger systems at a fraction of the price. The SoundWorks i525 is priced at only $149.99 and is now available for purchase direct from CambridgeSoundWorks.com or by calling 1-800-FOR-HIFI.
“We designed the SoundWorks i525 so its sound will fill an entire room, while its size makes it ideal for places where space is at a premium,” said Rob Maniero, general manager of Cambridge SoundWorks. “We took our best speaker technology from our SoundWorks radio line and combined it with Creative’s award-winning Creative X-Fi technology to deliver our smallest and best-sounding digital music system yet. This system sounds better than table radios and digital music systems that cost significantly more, and it absolutely blows away other systems in its price range.”
The Best-Sounding Audio System for iPod for its Size and Price
The SoundWorks i525 features two main speakers driven by actively equalized stereo amplifiers to provide rich, detailed sound. Combined with Creative X-Fi technology, the SoundWorks i525 produces pristine sonic accuracy for a system of its size.
X-Fi audio technology with X-Fi Crystalizer improves the quality of downloaded music files by restoring detail and vibrancy, and X-Fi CMSS expands iPod music by remixing the stereo audio into multi-channel surround sound.
For better performance of AM/FM station signals, Cambridge SoundWorks audio designers also introduced Smart Volume technology. Users can engage Smart Volume when listening to radio broadcasts to level volume relative to program signals so volume remains consistent when station programming changes.
Sleek Design, Rich Features & the Best Performance….for Any Room
The SoundWorks i525 is packaged in a sleek design that fits anywhere, from bedroom nightstand to desk or kitchen counter. The system’s intuitive spin dial, located at the top, makes controlling the system easy even in a dark room.
Cambridge SoundWorks designed the SoundWorks i525 with dual alarms to wake to iPod, AM/FM radio or buzzer. The alarms can also be adjusted for single day, 2 day or 5 day intervals – so no adjustments for weekends are necessary. A convenient Snooze/Mute bar, adjustable from 5 to 30 minutes, is housed on top of the system. And a Sleep Mode, adjustable from 15 to 120 minutes, is also provided. A new Nap Mode also turns the system on from an adjustable 15 minutes to 4 hours. The system’s amber display was also chosen specifically for bedroom usage, and can be adjusted to suite ambient light.
An auxiliary input allows connection of the SoundWorks i525 to different audio sources. A stereo headphone jack also offers a private listening option. The included full-featured remote adjusts iPod and radio functions.
